Pick 1: Oakland vs. Tennessee and Kansas City vs. Buffalo

The Teaser: Pair Oakland and Kansas City

Game 1: Oakland vs. Tennessee

The Initial Line:

Oakland -1 away vs. Tennessee

The Take:

Add 8.5 points to Oakland’s line

The Final Line:

Oakland +7.5

The Breakdown:

Oakland suffered a loss at the hands of streaking Detroit, as they fell on the road 18-13. Tennessee lost a close one on TNF to divisional foe Jacksonville 19-13. Tennessee is now basically ruled out of contention for the playoffs, while Oakland still has a shot in the mediocre AFC conference. After looking strong out of the gate Oakland has now lost 3 straight, and will look to get back on track against a weak Tennessee squad. The team can’t blame Derek Carr, as he sits at 7th in the NFL in QB rating at 99.4. Latavius Murray has also helped the Oakland offense as he ranks 7th in rushing yds in the NFL. This is a game Oakland can and must win if they want to stay in playoff contention. Expect them to come out strong even on the road. Worst case we have a TD cushion if they struggle once again, but Tennessee won’t be able to run up the score either way.

Final Stat: Tennessee currently ranks 30th in total offensive yards in the NFL.

Game 2: Kansas City vs. Buffalo

The Initial Line:

Kansas City -5 home vs. Buffalo

The Take:

Add 8.5 points to Kansas City’s line

The Final Line:

Kansas City +3.5

The Breakdown:

Kansas City kept its hot streak going, as they blew out SD on the road 33-3. Buffalo lost a tight matchup on MNF against undefeated NE 20-13. KC might be the hottest team in football right now, as they have won 4 straight and would currently be the 6th seed in the AFC playoff picture. Even though the loss of Jamaal Charles was a big one, the emergence of Charcandrick West has been huge for them. He has gained over 500 yds combined rushing and passing over the 4 game win streak with 4 TDs. Buffalo has been very streaky over the course of the year, and they have not won a game against a team with a winning record this season. KC also has a stout defense, with Justin Houston ranking in the top 5 in sacks and Marcus Peters in the top 5 in INTs. This should be a close game, but expect the crowd to be roaring in Arrowhead Stadium and help lead KC to a victory.

Final Stat: Kansas City has the 2nd least turnovers in the NFL with 8.
