Pick 4: Tampa Bay vs. Indianapolis and New England vs. Denver

Pick 4: Tampa Bay vs. Indianapolis and New England vs. Denver

The Teaser: Pair Tampa Bay and New England

Game 1: Tampa Bay vs. Indianapolis

The Initial Line:

Tampa Bay +3 away vs. Indianapolis

The Take:

Add 7.5 points to Tampa Bay’s line

The Final Line:

Tampa Bay +10.5

The Breakdown:

Tampa Bay went on the road to get a convincing win against Philadelphia 45-17. Indianapolis also pulled out a comeback win on the road vs Atlanta 24-21. Tampa Bay is suddenly in the playoff mix at 5-5, as Jameis Winston seems to improve more every week. Indy is trying to hang onto their AFC North lead, but now have the same record with Houston since they’ve gained some momentum. The 21 yr old Winston tied a rookie record with 5 TD passes Sunday, and continues to find comfort in his offense. It also doesn’t hurt to have Doug Martin running to complement the passing game, as he ranks 2nd in the NFL in rush yds. Indy has struggled to find offensive production consistently, and now will rely on 40 yr old Hasselback for an unknown period of time. This should be a competitive game for 2 teams both vying for a playoff spot. Take TB with a 10 pt cushion, as this will likely end in a 1 possession game.

Final Stat: TB ranks 9th with a +3 turnover differential. Meanwhile Indy ranks 27th with a -6 differential.

Game 2: New England vs. Denver

The Initial Line:

New England -3 away vs. Denver

The Take:

Add 7.5 points to New England’s line

The Final Line:

New England +4.5

The Breakdown:

New England continues to find ways to win despite the growing number of injuries, as they beat Buffalo 20-13 to remain undefeated. Denver found a way to get the victory in Chicago, as they won 17-15. We won’t get to see another rematch of Brady vs Manning, as a lingering foot injury will leave Brock Osweiler the task of attempting to beat NE in his 2nd career start. New England has been dominant this season behind Brady who is the clear MVP of the league thus far, but recent injuries to Lewis and Edelman have slowed the offense a bit. They will face a tough test against Denver’s defense, as they rank 2nd in PPG allowed. However what’s unknown to many still is how good the NE defense has been, as they now rank 1st in PPG allowed ahead of Denver. Brady can only do so much is players continue to get injured, so this will need to be a complete effort in order to go on the road to beat Denver. This game should be a tough battle, but by days end I see NE moving to 11-0 as they are the better overall team.

Final Stat: Despite a hobbled OL and receiving core, Brady is 1st in pass yds, 2nd in TD passes, and 2nd in QB rating in the NFL.
