Pick 1: Arizona vs. Green Bay and Oakland vs. San Diego

Pick 1: Arizona vs. Green Bay and Oakland vs. San Diego

The Teaser: Pair Arizona and Oakland

Game 1: Arizona vs. Green Bay

The Initial Line:

Arizona -4.5 home vs. Green Bay

The Take:

Add 8.5 points to Arizona’s line

The Final Line:

Arizona +4

The Breakdown:

Arizona has kept their momentum rolling, as they went on the road to beat Philadelphia 40-17. Green Bay won their 3rd game in a row, as they went on the road to take down Oakland 30-20. Both of these teams are locked into a postseason position. Arizona will likely have the #2 seed, while GB will either have #3 or one of the wildcard spots depending on how them perform these last 2 games. Arizona has now won 8 straight games, and has scored the 2nd most points in the NFL behind Carolina. Their offense has been explosive behind a depth of talented receivers (Fitzgerald, Brown, Floyd) and of course their 35 yr old QB Carson Palmer who is making his own case for MVP. Their also arguably the most complete team in the NFL, as their defense has shut down opponents all season. GB can maybe keep up with Arizona on offense if their receivers can find space, but the difference will come in the defensive play. Not to mention Arizona is 5-1 at home this year. Take the home team in this one.

Final Stat: Arizona has gained more yards than all other teams in the NFL with 5,920 through 14 games (422.9 yds/game).

Game 2: Oakland vs. San Diego

The Initial Line:

Oakland -5 home vs. San Diego

The Take:

Add 8.5 points to Oakland’s line

The Final Line:

Oakland +3.5

The Breakdown:

Oakland suffered a home defeat on Sunday, as they fell to Green Bay 30-20. San Diego got a big win in what might be the last game in their city, as they defeated Miami 30-14. Oakland will be facing the same scenario that SD had last week, as they may be hosting their final home game in the bay area. Oakland, SD, and St. Louis are the 3 teams being considered to move to LA next season. Earlier in the week, sure Hall-of-Famer Charles Woodson announced he will retire at season’s end, so Oakland will have a lot to play for in this matchup on TNF. Both of these teams are now out of the playoff hunt, but the Raiders have a promising future ahead behind 2nd year QB Derek Carr. He currently ranks 10th in pass yds and 6th in TD passes on the year. Philip Rivers is also an exceptional QB, but his team has been riddled with injuries in 2015 and he’s had to carry the team on his back which has translated to their 4-10 record. Oakland will be playing with a ton of emotion in front of a crowd they may be seeing for the last time. Pick them to take this game against a weak SD squad.

Final Stat: Khalil Mack of Oakland leads the NFL with 15 sacks on the season.
