Pick 3: Green Bay vs. Kansas City and Seattle vs. Chicago

Pick 3: Green Bay vs. Kansas City and Seattle vs. Chicago

The Teaser: Pair Green Bay and Seattle

Game 1: Green Bay vs. Kansas City

The Initial Line (5Dimes):

Green Bay -7.5 home vs. Kansas City

The Take:

Add 8.5 points to Green Bay’s line

The Final Line:

Green Bay +1

The Breakdown:

Green Bay is starting the season strong with a 2-0 record, one against their windy city rivals and one against their postseason nightmare in Seattle. Kansas City has also had a good start to the year, with a convincing win against Houston and a tough late loss to Denver. Aaron Rodgers has shown year in and year out that he’s the best QB in the game. He currently has the 2nd highest QB rating in the league, and can march his team down the field easily even without Jordy Nelson. Kansas City is also efficient at moving the ball and limiting mistakes, although 2 Jamaal Charles fumbles did them in last week against Denver. Green Bay was undefeated at home last season, and only scored less than 30 pts once (26 vs NE). They should be able to handle Kansas City in front of the home crowd, take the Pack to win this one.

Final Stat: Aaron Rodgers hasn’t thrown a home INT since December of 2012, with 512 pass attempts in that time (NFL record)

Game 2: Seattle vs. Chicago

The Initial Line (5Dimes):

Seattle -16 home vs. Chicago

The Take:

Add 8.5 points to Seattle’s line

The Final Line:

Seattle -7.5

The Breakdown:

Seattle’s 0-2 record to start the year might be one of the biggest surprises early in the 2015 season. Chicago’s 0-2 record however doesn’t seem to surprise anybody, as they still have many issues on both sides of the ball. To be fair Seattle had to play on the road against division rival St. Louis and Green Bay. Chicago had the advantage of playing 2 home games but still lost by a combined 33 points. Seattle has a well known home-field advantage with the “12th man” behind them. They do need a spark for their offense, but should be in a good position against this Bears team that let up the most points in 2014 and the most to start 2015 as well. Expect a big day from many players, including Jimmy Graham and Marshawn Lynch. Seattle should be able to win this one easily in front of the home crowd.
Final Stat: Seattle only allowed 15.4 PPG average at home in 2014, and had a 7-1 record.
