Take Green Bay -2.5 away vs. Tennessee
Green bay lost its second straight game this weekend, as they fell at home to Indianapolis 31-26. Tennessee suffered a road loss as well this weekend, as they were defeated by San Diego 43-35. After holding teams to under 20 pts in 3 of their first 5 games, Tennessee has now had 3 straight games where they’ve given up over 20 (average of 33 PPG against). Green Bay has hit a recent snag as well, but their team is built to overcome these types of obstacles. After Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy complained about their teams’ “energy” last weekend, I expect them to come out firing against a vulnerable Tennessee squad. Both of these offenses have been solid behind their respective QBs, but Rodgers hasn’t nearly hit his stride yet and the GB defense currently ranks 6th on defensive yards allowed. The other key stat to watch is turnover differential, as Tennessee ranks 26th with 13 giveaways thus far. I expect a rebound performance and a victory for GB, and winning by a FG or more sounds like a perfect line to grab.
