Teaser Pick 1: Pittsburgh vs. Indianapolis and New Orleans vs. Los Angeles

Teaser Pick 1: Pittsburgh vs. Indianapolis and New Orleans vs. Los Angeles

The Teaser: Pair Pittsburgh and New Orleans

Game 1: Pittsburgh vs. Indianapolis

The Initial Line:

Pittsburgh -3 away vs. Indianapolis

The Take:

Add 7.5 points to Pittsburgh’s line

The Final Line:

Pittsburgh +4.5

The Breakdown:

Pittsburgh got a much needed victory after a recent skid, as they went on the road to defeat Cleveland 24-9. Indianapolis won a crucial game against divisional rival Tennessee, as they secured the home victory 24-17. Pittsburgh had been on a 4 game skid before their victory, but faced some stiff talent during that stretch (Miami, New England, Baltimore, and Dallas). They also still have some of the best offensive weapons in football with a healthy Big Ben, Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown. In the last 2 games against Indy, Big Ben has thrown for 10 TDs and 886 yds as he has absolutely owned their defense. Indy may also be without their star QB Andrew Luck, who suffered a concussion this past week and will have to try and recover for a Thursday Night game. I fully expect that Pittsburgh should be able to score often against a 30th ranked Indy defense, but take them with extra points just in case Indy pulls out a miracle late victory at home on Thanksgiving.

Game 2: New Orleans vs. Los Angeles

The Initial Line:

New Orleans -7.5 home vs. Los Angeles

The Take:

Add 7.5 points to New Orleans’s line

The Final Line:

New Orleans even

The Breakdown:

New Orleans couldn’t finish off their comeback on Thursday Night Football, as they lost to division rival Carolina on the road 23-20. Los Angeles wasn’t able to hold onto their lead in Jared Goff’s first career start, as they lost at home to streaking Miami 14-10. New Orleans has lost 2 straight game by 5 total points after winning 4 out of their previous 5. Their offense behind Drew Brees is once again a powerhouse, as they currently have the #1 offense in the NFL (422 yds/game). This is the complete opposite of LA, who last week made the switch to rookie QB Jared Goof after ranking 31st in offense on the season. This will be Goff’s first road game, and it won’t be an easy task down in the dome of Louisiana. Now with Delvin Breaux back at cornerback the defense should improve, and they shouldn’t have an issue taking down LA when at home. Take some extra points in case the game stays close, but New Orleans will come out victorious here.
