Teaser Pick 1: Washington vs. Philadelphia and Dallas vs. New York Giants

The Teaser: Pair Washington and Dallas

Game 1: Washington vs. Philadelphia

The Initial Line:

Washington even away vs. Philadelphia

The Take:

Add 7.5 points to Washington’s line

The Final Line:

Washington +7.5

The Breakdown:

Washington couldn’t hold on in Arizona, as they fell on the road 31-23. Philadelphia lost another game on the road, as they were defeated by Cincinnati 32-14. Washington has now lost 2 straight close games after winning 6 of their last 8. Philadelphia has now lost 3 straight and 5 of their last 6 after a hot start. Both of these teams have an uphill battle in the NFC East behind Dallas and New York, but Washington has the better pieces in place to make a comeback for a playoff spot. Kirk Cousins is having a sensational year ranking in the top 5 in passing yards and QBR, and he may have better protection now that Trent Williams is back from suspension at LT. They still rank 2nd in total yards gained on the season, while Philadelphia only sits at 20th. Philly’s defense was keeping them in games before, but have since allowed 26+ pts in 3 straight games. These teams will play each other tough with a lot on the line and it being a divisional game, but Washington should prevail here. Take them with a TD cushion just in case Philly finds some home magic.

Game 2: Dallas vs. New York Giants

The Initial Line:

Dallas -3 away vs. New York Giants

The Take:

Add 7.5 points to Dallas’s line

The Final Line:

Dallas +4.5

The Breakdown:

Dallas continues to roll right along, as they won a close game in Minnesota on Thursday Night Football 17-15. New York was no match for Pittsburgh, as they lost on the road 24-14. Dallas has now won 11 straight since week 1 when they lost by 1 pt to NY. Now they get another shot at their divisional rival boasting arguably the best team in the NFL. Their offense ranks 4th in the NFL in yards/game, as their rookie combo at QB/RB and O-line continue to carry them. Dak Prescott now has the best QBR in the league, showing that he is in fact for real. New York continues to struggle with turnovers, as they now sit tied for 24th with a -5 turnover differential. Even though their record is 8-4, they haven’t dominated teams as they’ve only won 1 game by more than 7 points (vs Cleveland). Dallas has 5 victories of more than 7 points and shows no signs of slowing down. They are the better team and should win, but grab some extra points in case Eli finds a way to drive NY late for a game winning FG.
