Take New York (AFC) -2.5 away vs. Cleveland
New York was able to pull out the home victory after Ryan Fitzpatrick stepped back in at QB, as they took down Baltimore 24-16. Cleveland lost the battle of Ohio on the road, as Cincinnati got the best of them 31-17. This matchup is the story of 2 struggling teams, but one that still has a shot at redemption this season. Cleveland is 0-6 this year and can’t even tell you who their starting QB will be week-to-week with all of the injuries they’ve faced. New York just benched Fitzpatrick in favor of Geno Smith, but smith tore his ACL last week giving the veteran QB another shot. New York has faced one of the toughest schedules to this point, with 4 road games coming against Buffalo, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, and Arizona. However, they will now face one of the easier schedules in the NFL and can build on a defense that’s been consistently average this season. If they can find a way to reduce the turnovers they can find victory, as Cleveland ranks 31st in total defense. Matt Forte was able to gain 100 yds and a TD on the ground which can help the pass game get going. This bet is more about getting an average team to beat a horrible team, and getting New York to win by a FG should secure that.
