Teaser Pick 2 – Philadelphia vs. Denver and Seattle vs. Washington

Teaser Pick 2 – Philadelphia vs. Denver and Seattle vs. Washington

The Teaser: Pair Philadelphia and Seattle

Game 1: Philadelphia vs. Denver

The Initial Line:

Philadelphia -7.5 home vs. Denver

The Take:

Add 7 points to Philadelphia’s line

The Final Line:

Philadelphia -0.5

The Breakdown:

Philadelphia continues to dominate their opponents, crushing a weak San Francisco squad 33-10 at home. Carson Wentz tossed 2 more TDs and the defense was able to force 2 turnovers (1 INT for TD). Denver’s recent struggles are becoming a bit alarming, as they lost their 3rd straight on Monday Night Football to KC on the road 29-19. QB Trevor Siemain threw 3 easy INTs in a 5-turnover debacle for a team that’s struggling to get any kind of momentum.

Wentz is now tied with Deshaun Watson for the NFL lead in passing TDs with 19 through 8 games. Philly ranks in the top 10 in both offense and defense, and their balance has been a big reason why they have the best record in the NFL at 7-1. Denver still boasts the best defense in the NFL, but it doesn’t seem to matter with the offense being basically non-existent lately. Over the last 3 games they’ve only mustered 29 points (9.7 PPG) which is a big reason why Osweiler will replace Siemian at QB. Philly has reeled off 6 straight, and in their last 3 home games they’ve won by an average of 20 PPG. Denver’s defense may be able to keep them in the game, but ultimately Philly is more balanced on both sides of the ball and should secure the home victory. Grab them in a teaser to win here.

Game 2: Seattle vs. Washington

The Initial Line:

Seattle -7.5 home vs. Washington

The Take:

Add 7 points to Seattle’s line

The Final Line:

Seattle -0.5

The Breakdown:

Seattle went back and forth with Houston at home but ultimately came out on top 41-38. QB Russell Wilson had one of the best games of his career, ending the game 26-41 for 452 yds and 4 TDs. Washington has not been able to overcome their recent stretch of injuries and lost at home to divisional rival Dallas 33-19. The defense wasn’t able to slow down the run game for Dallas, as they let up 169 total rush yards.

After another slow start at 1-2, Seattle has reeled off 4 straight and addressed one of their biggest issues this week. By signing T Duane Brown the O-line will surely be improved, which may have been their Achilles heel if not addressed. Despite a “mediocre” start to the season and giving up 38 in their latest game, they still rank 7th in the NFL in points allowed/game (18.9). They’ve also been successfully protecting the ball on offense and forcing havoc on defense, with a 5th ranked turnover differential at +6 compared to Washington’s -3 (22nd in NFL). Kirk Cousins has done his part to keep Washington in the mix, but he can’t overcome all the injuries they’ve had on offense and defense. Wilson is 37-6 at home in his career and 15-4 in November (.789 win %, best month of career). Cousins will keep them in it, but getting Seattle teased down to -0.5 will put this pick in the win column.
